Stop digging. Start flicking.

One motion. No menus.
- Summon: Hold your hotkey, or right-click and hold. The wheel opens under your cursor, right where you're looking. A quick right-click still opens the app's own menu.
- Flick: Move toward a segment and its tools fan out under your pointer. An overshooting flick still lands on the tool.
- Release: Let go and it's done. Scroll while the wheel is open to switch layouts; Esc or the centre cancels.
Every action you keep redoing, already on the wheel.
114 built-in tools in After Effects and 73 in Premiere Pro, plus all of your installed effects, third-party included. One license for both apps.
Nine positions. Zero eyeballing.
- Anchor grid - move the anchor point anywhere and the layer stays exactly where it was, even scaled, rotated and keyframed.
- Align grid - snap a layer's corner, edge or centre onto the comp's. Exact under scale and rotation.
- Create lands where you want it - nulls, adjustment layers and shapes appear above your selection, trimmed to it.
- Expressions and keyframes - loop, ping-pong, wiggle; add a key that holds the current value.
The same wheel, an editor's tools.
- Cut, ripple delete, lift - and it tells you what it really cut.
- Picture-in-picture grid - snap a scaled clip to nine places, with a margin.
- Effects and transitions on the clip you selected, on the cut nearest your playhead.
- Markers, playhead, in/out, export frame, labels - without leaving the timeline.
Two minutes to set up. Yours from then on.
- The wheel editor: 2 to 12 segments, up to 12 tools each. Rename, recolour, re-icon. Lock a segment. Nine tools can become a 3×3 grid. Import and export layouts to share with a team.
- Your whole library: Every installed effect - third-party included - read from the app itself. Search Effects is a floating palette: Enter applies, Shift-Enter applies and pins it to your wheel.
- Your own tools: Scripts and ExtendScript snippets in both apps; any menu command or .ffx preset in After Effects. Test each one before saving.
Questions, answered.
Which apps and versions does it support?
After Effects and Premiere Pro on macOS 11 or newer (Apple Silicon & Intel) and Windows 10+ (available now). It is built and tested on After Effects 2026 and Premiere Pro 2026.
I right-click constantly. Will the wheel get in my way?
No. It only opens on a deliberate press-and-hold (or your hotkey), so a normal quick right-click still opens the app's own menu. The hold delay is adjustable, and you can require a modifier key.
Can I put my own effects and third-party plug-ins on the wheel?
Yes. Flex Wheel reads every effect installed in your app - third-party included - and any of them can be pinned to a segment. Search Effects covers the whole library. You can also add scripts, snippets, and in After Effects any menu command or .ffx preset.
Why does Premiere Pro ask for an Accessibility permission?
Only for right-click-and-hold. In Premiere the wheel runs beside the app rather than inside it, and macOS asks once before an app may watch for a held mouse button. The hotkey works without it. After Effects never needs it.
How many computers can I use it on?
Two per license - work and home. After Effects and Premiere Pro on the same computer count as one activation. Moving to a new computer? Deactivate the old one, or release it remotely if it is gone.
Does it need to be online?
Only to activate. After that it keeps working for up to 14 days between check-ins, and a network or server problem never locks a licensed copy.
Is there a free trial? Does Flex GUI Pro include it?
No and no. Flex Wheel is its own product with its own license. The only thing it shares with Flex GUI Pro is your accent colour, which it follows automatically if you have the panel.
Does it change my projects?
Only through the tool you fire. In After Effects every action is a single undo step.
